What is Stock Exchange?
It was recently estimated that companies within the Safety industry have in excess of £20,000,000 worth of excess inventory. This is cash, tied up for long periods, which could be used to develop new and profitable future projects.
Stock Exchange is an initiative by BSIF Enterprises to help release cash back into the industry.
Put at its most simple, Stock Exchange is the UK safety markets equivalent of E Bay. On an anonymous basis any member company can advertise stock items they wish to clear or sell in bulk. Buyers will be able to check for their needs, hopefully at a bargin price and through the offices of BSIF Enterprises conclude a deal.
How actually does it work?
Selling:- BSIF Enterprises will be offering all members an opportunity to list the items they wish to sell in a specially formatted spreadsheet. This will include a full description, quantity available, price, minimum order quantity etc. Normally the prices will need to be attractive to sell this otherwise potentially obsolete stock. This form to be submitted to BSIF Enterprises.
Administration:- BSIF Enterprises will enter the lists onto a master spreadsheet, removing the vendors name. This spreadsheet will be formatted by product type for ease of use and posted within the BSIF website for access by all other members.
Buying:- A company wishing to purchase products, enters the website and scrolls through the listed products. When finding items they wish to purchase, an E Mail is sent to BSIF Enterprises, relating to the spreadsheet line, the quantity required and if they wish to try and negotiate, an offer price. Of course you may lose out to someone offering the asking price! BSIF Enterprises contacts the vendor and if the deal is acceptable, passes the purchasers name to the vendor who contacts the purchaser and concludes the deal.
Costs:- BSIF will charge the vendor at the following scale, which will be invoiced upon completion of the deal. A level of trust is of course essential to ensure BSIF gain credit for their involvement.
· Order Value £250 or less. 4%
· Order Value £1000 or less 3%
· Order Value greater than £1000 2%
